Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Mitsubishi has added an all-new model to their line up: the new 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. This automotive will be offered in US markets in 2 trims- ES and SE; both come with the choice of four-wheel and two-wheel drive system.

The new 2011 Sport is derived from its top of the line crossover Outlander.
Athletic Styling
The front fascia of new Sport Outlander 2011 is inspired by the high performance sports sedan- Lancer Evolution. The smooth bodywork, rear spoiler, and tall beltline are merged to give Outlander one of the lowest coefficients of drag of any car in its segment.
Outlander Sport adds muscular sheetmetal, which keep this stylish model breed apart from the rest of its crossover SUV competition.

The 2-wheel drive ES is armoured with plenty of standard features plus a choice of either the CVT or manual gearbox, and the more upscale technologies featured in SE edition.
Outlander Sport is slightly smaller than the seven-passenger CUV that features more fuel-efficient engine, and completely redesigned body.
Under the Hood
Mitsubishi’s improved version- 4B11 engine with its innovative valve timing electronic control VVT, aluminium block, and naturally-aspirated configuration are accompanied by smoother surface camshafts, resin coated pistons for improved fuel economy, and reduced friction.
2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is powered by a 2.0-L inline-four cylinder engine that spins out 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque.
Performance

The 2-wheel drive Outlander Sport with a manual gearbox can speed up from 0-60 mph acceleration in 8.8 sec, which is a reasonable time for this segment. But, the more commonly equipped CVT models expect the Sport Outlander to sprint with just average performance.
Fuel Efficient CVT or Manual Transmission
The EPA-fuel economy ratings of the front-wheel drive 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport are 25 mpg in city, 31 mpg on hwy, resulting in combined mileage of 27 mpg. The all-wheel drive Outlander Sport achieves 24/29/26 mpg, while manual earns 24/31/26 mpg.
Pricing
The all-new 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is tagged at an affordable price of $18,495.
